They have been beautifully illustrated by the wonderful Kim Prior whose time and creativity has brought these stories to life. What others have to say:“The morals written about in the books mean that they have such a wide age range. From those that appreciate the images and tempo of the rhyming, to the discussions of the issues raised in each story. These are fantastic books!” Amy, mother (child 2yrs)“Congratulations. Job well done! These stories are very "readable" - and that's the grandmother who is speaking. These stories are full of love, joy and wit! Clever stories - some children books are so dull compared to these ones. The stories are balanced, full of kindness and good values. Texts are beautifully written - full of poetry and nice rhymes - they work as well for the adult who reads the story to the kid. Stories sound "real" and taken from lived experience. I LOVED THEM!” Michele, grandmother (children 6yrs & 4yrs)“The illustrations are gorgeous, and honestly that is where my daughter engaged the most. Because of her age, she absolutely favours books that we can read to her with a bit of rhythm and beat so these stories are great. Gosh… they are delightful! I love the stories, and there are some extremely wholesome life lessons in there.” Gordon, father (child 2yrs)"We read all of the stories in one evening at the girls' request. They wanted to hear about all of the dogs. The pictures are great and the stories evoked interesting discussions with the girls” Rob, father (children 8yrs & 6yrs)“The books are really great! And it’s always fab to have a range of similar books because then the little ones get a feel for the type of story and style of writing and there is still lots of variety rather than reading one book again and again! I personally love rhyming because once you’ve read a story a couple of times, little ones can almost predict the next line (or at least the last word) as they listen to the rhyming and remember- Evie loved this about the books!” Amelia, mother (child 2yrs)“I really like the fact that they rhyme and also, the topics make them very suitable to support areas inside PSHE (personal, social and health education) in school.” Rachel, mother & primary school teacher Read more
