The Orb in Marvel Comics, often Drake Shannon, started as a Ghost Rider/Spider-Man villain with a giant eyeball head, seeking revenge after a motorcycle accident; his history involves battling Ghost Rider, crossing paths with Hawkeye, and becoming a mercenary before gaining massive power and a key role in the Original Sin storyline by taking Uatu the Watcher's eye, making him a cosmic, disturbing watcher of events, though a different version appeared in the MCU as the Power Stone's container.
Early Origins (Drake Shannon)
Debut: First appeared in Marvel Team-Up #15 (1976) as a foe of Ghost Rider and Spider-Man.
Backstory: Drake Shannon was a former partner of Crash Simpson (Johnny Blaze's predecessor) and, after an accident, developed a giant eyeball head, becoming the costumed villain Orb.
Motivations: He sought revenge on Johnny Blaze (Ghost Rider) and became a mercenary, often using his hypnotizing helmet and eye-themed weaponry.
